The Week in Photos [14/03/2011]

I must admit I am now a couple of weeks behind posting my weekly pictures, a trend which is likely to continue.

One of the benefits of living in the countryside is the abundance of picturesque places and good walks. When my boyfriend last visited, we rummaged through the walking books and eventually settled on a good walk which wasn’t difficult or too long.

Half way through the walk we encountered the village of Batsford, which was very small but had this relatively large church!

One of the highlights along route was Batsford Arboretum. It was beautiful at this time of year, filled with spring flowers and birdsong.

There were a herd of deer roaming around near the entrance of the arboretum. They watched us suspiciously as we walked past.

We also went for a shorter walk in Stratford Upon Avon alongside the river.

Shakepeare influenced boat names.

The smallest ferry I have ever seen!
